The Ritual

First off, a huge congrats again to all the newly inducted Hall of Fame members. What an honor to share the same stage alongside each of you at SHX25.

I just picked up my Hall of Fame jersey, which I had framed, and for those who haven’t yet decided what to do with theirs, I wanted to share something I’ll be doing as a personal reminder of what this journey stands for.

I’ll be hanging it at the entrance to my home gym. Every time I walk down those basement stairs to train, I’ll stop for a moment, look at that jersey, and ring a small bell I’ll hang beside it.

Not for luck. Not for show.
But as a promise to stay rooted in the mindset, discipline, and effort that built this, and to keep proving it every day.

It’s my version of the Fighting Irish “Play Like a Champion Today” ritual before the players head for the field.

The jersey honors achievement 🏆, the discipline that built it, and the identity it represents.
The bell 🔔 calls forth commitment, the standard I uphold, and the man I strive to remain.
This is who I am and who I choose to remain. The work never stops. 💪🔥

FYI, if you choose to frame yours, my suggestion is to upgrade to museum glass. It makes a big difference in clarity and protection.
